BRP Inc. said Monday that a number of its production sites are ramping up activities while others would have a phased approach after the company was hit by a cyberattack.
On Aug. 9, the leisure-craft maker said it had been the target of a cyberattack and that it would temporarily halt its operations to investigate the breach.
BRP said it continues to investigate last week’s cyberattack, and said that it is working to restore all internal systems from its back-up repositories with the help of external advisors.
It said that current evidence from its investigation doesn’t point to a breach in its clients’ personal information, and that the effects are likely limited from a data perspective.
BRP said that its manufacturing sites in Canada, Finland, U.S., and Austria should be fully operational by Tuesday, while the rest of its sites are planning to resume operations over the course of the week.
