© Reuters Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX up 0.74%
Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.74% to hit a new 1-month high, while the index added 0.04%, and the index fell 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the were Bayer AG NA (ETR:), which rose 4.78% or 2.47 points to trade at 54.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Covestro AG (ETR:) added 2.36% or 0.75 points to end at 32.57 and Vonovia SE (ETR:) was up 2.24% or 0.69 points to 31.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Boerse AG (ETR:), which fell 3.26% or 5.55 points to trade at 164.50 at the close. Merck KGaA (ETR:) declined 1.87% or 3.50 points to end at 183.60 and Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:) was down 1.77% or 1.26 points to 70.08.
The top performers on the MDAX were Uniper SE (ETR:) which rose 9.32% to 7.45, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which was up 6.20% to settle at 26.88 and Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 3.36% to close at 7.14.
The worst performers were Knorr-Bremse AG (ETR:) which was down 11.29% to 54.24 in late trade, Encavis AG (ETR:) which lost 3.54% to settle at 22.09 and Kion Group AG (ETR:) which was down 2.42% to 44.00 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 6.20% to 26.88, Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which was up 2.13% to settle at 69.50 and Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which gained 2.08% to close at 23.07.
The worst performers were Jenoptik AG (ETR:) which was down 2.37% to 23.86 in late trade, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:) which lost 1.71% to settle at 23.00 and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:) which was down 1.34% to 18.68 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 432 to 245 and 85 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 3.65% to 22.20 a new 1-month low.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.59% or 10.65 to $1,817.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.15% or 2.03 to hit $92.31 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.44% or 1.43 to trade at $98.17 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.51% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 105.52.
