Walt Disney, Merck share gains lead Dow’s 350-point rally

Shares of Walt Disney and Merck are trading higher Friday afternoon, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average rally. Shares of Walt Disney
DIS,
+3.30%
and Merck
MRK,
+2.35%
have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally, as the Dow
DJIA,
+1.27%
is trading 350 points, or 1.1%, higher. Walt Disney’s shares have risen $3.09, or 2.6%, while those of Merck are up $1.87 (2.1%), combining for a roughly 33-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Apple Inc.
AAPL,
+2.14%,
UnitedHealth
UNH,
+2.03%,
and American Express
AXP,
+1.75%.
A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark results in a 6.59-point swing.
